Capital Group Canada nearly swept the mutual fund group award categories at the 2025 Lipper Fund Awards, taking home prizes for best overall fund group, best mixed-assets fund group and best equity fund group.
Guardian Capital LP earned the final mutual fund group award for best bond fund group.
Hosted in Toronto Wednesday night, the annual awards ceremony honours investment funds and asset managers that have excelled in providing consistently strong risk-adjusted performance relative to their peers.
On the ETF side, Scotia Global Asset Management won the award for best equity fund group, while Manulife Investment Management Ltd. took the award for best bond fund group.
And for the second year in a row, Fidelity Investments Canada ULC earned prizes for best mixed-assets ETF group and best overall ETF group.
“While the firms take home the trophies, it’s the investors within these funds who ultimately experience the lasting benefits of this achievement,” said Brandon Adkins, head of Lipper North America research at the London Stock Exchange Group, in a release.
