In July, Toronto-based CI Investments Inc. launched CI High Interest Savings Fund, which invests in CI First Asset High Interest Savings ETF and seeks to “maximize monthly income for unitholders while preserving capital and liquidity.” (The ETF, launched in June, invests mostly in high-interest deposit accounts.) For the mutual fund, advisor commissions for front-end sales are 0%-5%. Trailing commissions are 0%-0.25%. The maximum management fee is 0.39% for A-class units; the minimum investment is $500. Both the F-class series of the mutual fund and the ETF have maximum management fees of 0.14%. No sales charges or trailing commissions are applicable to units in the last two funds.
