The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) has published Frequently Asked Questions About Proceedings (FAQ) on its website, the commission announced Tuesday.

The FAQ is intended to assist respondents, including self-represented parties as well as others involved in enforcement proceedings before the OSC tribunal by providing a general overview of how the process works and what can be expected in tribunal proceedings.

It covers everything from hearings to temporary orders and the appeals process.

Notwithstanding the information set out in the FAQ, the enforcement respondents should consider contacting a lawyer, or a paralegal, or to apply to commission’s Litigation Assistance Program for a volunteer lawyer, the OSC says in a news release.
