(September 15 – 15:25 ET) – The Board of Directors of the Trust Companies Association of Canada elected David Taylor as its chairman and C.E.O. at its annual general meeting, yesterday.

Taylor is president and C.E.O. of Pacific & Western Credit Corp.”I am pleased to accept this appointment and look forward to continuing the initiatives of this worthwhile organization and its members,” he said.

The Trust Companies Association of Canada represents the interests of trust companies throughout Canada. It provides a forum for discussion of issues concerning the financial services industry, particularly those issues relating to financial institutions that serve niche markets throughout Canada.
