The Canadian Investment Funds Standards Committee (CIFSC) has elected Brian Bridger, director, analytics and data at Fundata Canada Inc. as its chairman for the coming year, effective January 1.
The CIFSC is a volunteer organization that oversees the fund industry’s classification standards.
“I would like to thank all of the members of the committee for their continued effort and entrusting me with this role. I would also like to thank Reid Baker for his hard work as chairman for the past two years,” said Bridger in a release.
Reid Baker, manager, analytics and data at Fundata Canada will be CIFSC vice chair.
CIFSC’s current membership includes representatives from the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA), Cannex Financial Exchanges, FP Datagroup, Fundata Canada, Morningstar Canada, the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC), Thomson Reuters/Lipper and individual consultants.
