The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is warning about another unregistered investment firm.
The OSC issued a warning Friday about SUNS Group, a firm that claims to be based in Ottawa, and lists a phone number with an Ottawa area code on its website. But, it says, the firm, which claims to be offering two investment funds, is not registered to sell securities in Ontario.
The firm’s website claims that it has generated a 55.6% average return. The company claims to offer a U.S. growth fund, with a minimum opening deposit of $5,000 that pays monthly interest of between 2.45% and 7.25%; and, a ‘sustainable fund’, with a minimum opening deposit of $10,000 and monthly interest of between 2.70% and 8.50%.
