Wes Hall and engineer Tim Coldwell have partnered to launch an Indigenous real estate advisory and governance practice.

Toronto-based Énska Advisors will work with clients — First Nations, investment funds, family offices, institutions, nonprofits and government — to implement modern construction methods in hopes of increasing productivity and reducing development costs, a release said Wednesday. The firm further aims to deliver third-party verified ESG outcomes at no premium cost, it said.

Hall is founder and chairman of the BlackNorth Initiative, as well as founder and chairman of Kingsdale Advisors and WeShall Investments. Coldwell is a member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte in Ontario, a professional engineer and executive.

“Tim is a recognized leader in project delivery and is one of the few Indigenous people in Canada who has experience scaling a national technical builder,” Hall said in the release. “With his experience and drive, investors in real estate will have a specialized resource for increasing BIPOC [Black, Indigenous and people of colour] participation in major capital projects.”

One of the firm’s main offerings is advising First Nations entering the real estate, construction or clean energy businesses, the release said.
