The Canadian Securities Administrators have put together a CSA-Industry Working Group concerning the rules regarding institutional trade matching and settlement.
The working group, consisting of industry representatives and staff of the CSA, has recently been established to act as an advisory group for the CSA in identifying and resolving issues in relation to the regulation of institutional trade matching and settlement.
The group includes representatives of the industry’s sell-side, buy-side and custodian sectors and representatives of the Canadian Capital Markets Association, Investment Industry Association of Canada, Investment Dealers Association of Canada, and CDS Clearing and Depository Services Inc.
Later this year, CSA staff will publish a notice that will answer a number of key questions on the rules in this area.
