The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) on Wednesday announced the new membership of its continuous disclosure advisory committee (CDAC).

The committee provides OSC staff with input on the planning, implementation and communication of its continuous disclosure reviews, and policy in this area.

Current CDAC members include Catherine McCall, the newly named executive director of the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance, along with representatives from TMX Group Ltd., Veritas Investment Research Corp. and proxy advisory firm Shorecrest Group.

They are joined by reps from several Bay Street law firms, including Blake Cassels & Graydon LLP, Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, Goodmans LLP, McCarthy Tétrault LLP, and Miller Thomson LLP.

Consulting firms Deloitte LLP, Ernst & Young LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and The Brattle Group are also included, along with issuers Magna International Inc. and Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd.

The CDAC is chaired by Sonny Randhawa, OSC deputy director of corporate finance. It meets approximately five times per year, and its members serve two-year terms.
