The Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) is seeking volunteers to serve on its proficiency policy committee.

The self-regulatory organization issued a call for applications to join the committee that provides feedback on proficiency-related issues, including licensing standards and continuing education.

Among other things, the committee will also provide the regulator with industry input on competency standards development, and will review educational course content and design.

The committee is comprised of up to 15 members who are appointed for two-year terms.

Committee members can’t work or consult for organizations that provide IIROC proficiency courses, including the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI).

Applications are due by May 28.
