Oakville, Ont.-based Harvest Portfolios Group Inc. has launched two ETFs that focus on gold and global utilities, respectively. Harvest Global Gold Giants Index ETF invests primarily in large gold-mining issuers in North America, Australia or certain European countries and seeks to replicate the performance of the Solactive global gold giants index. This ETF has a management fee of 0.40%. Harvest Equal Weight Global Utilities Income ETF invests in utilities companies, including water, natural gas, sewer services and electricity companies, and aims to provide monthly cash distributions, the opportunity for capital appreciation and lower overall volatility. To achieve this, the ETF generally will write covered-call options on up to 33% of the portfolio’s securities, the level of which may vary based on market volatility and other factors.
