Early estimates show that gross domestic product (GDP) growth was flat in the third quarter, according to the latest data from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
The Paris-based OECD said Monday that provisional estimates show that quarterly real GDP increased by 0.5% in the third quarter, which is the same rate as in the previous quarter. The data doesn’t include Canada as provisional estimates are not yet available.
The group reports that GDP rose by 0.1% in the Euro area, down from the second quarter pace of 0.3%. But, growth accelerated in both the United States and the United Kingdom. In Japan, growth slowed to 0.5% from 0.9% in the previous quarter.
