The Bank of Canada today released its 2006 schedule of eight dates for announcing decisions on its key policy interest rate, and confirmed the announcement dates for the remainder of this year.

The announcement dates from September 2005 through December 2006 are:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005;
  • Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005;
  • Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005;
  • Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006;
  • Tuesday, March 7, 2006;
  • Tuesday, April 25, 2006;
  • Wednesday, May 24, 2006;
  • Tuesday, July, 11,2006;
  • Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006;
  • Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006; and
  • Tuesday, Dec. 5 2006.
