(September 2 – 11:30 ET) – Trimark Investment Management Inc. has added yet another new portfolio manager, James Young.

Compared to Trimark’s recent hirings, Bill Kanko and Kiki Delaney, Young is a relative unknown. He will join the international stock-picking side along with Kanko and the rest of Trimark’s team and will manage a new U.S. equity fund to be launched later this fall. Young was a U.S. equity manager at Royal Bank.

Young advocates the “value approach” which is central to Trimark’s investment philosophy.

Trimark has been beefing up the international side for some time. Chairman Bob Krembil has pulled back from portfolio management to focus on day-to-day organizational management at the firm.
