(May 10 – 15:00 ET) – @rgentum Management and Research Corporation introduces the first market neutral and long/short mutual funds available in Canada. Up until now, these funds have not been offered to retail investors in this country.
By offering investors a new method of diversification, market neutral and long/short investing allow mutual fund investors to reduce the overall risk of an investment portfolio. Based on a combination of long and short investments, these portfolios are capable of generating positive returns in bull, bear and flat markets.

The @rgentum US Market Neutral Portfolio is managed by Jeffrey Fotta, president of Boston-based Ernst Research and Management. The @rgentum Canadian L/S Equity Portfolio is managed by Andre Chabot, @rgentum’s vice president, director of portfolio management.
