Transamerica Investment Management, LLC has been appointed portfolio sub-advisor of the imaxx Global Equity Growth Fund, AEGON Fund Management said Wednesday.

Los Angeles-based Transamerica replaces Walter Scott & Partners, Ltd., of Edinburgh as portfolio sub-advisor effective September 30.

Unitholders have also received notification of this change, AEGON says, and there will be no changes to the investment objectives or investment strategy of the fund at this time.

The Independent Review Committee of imaxx Global Equity Growth Fund has reviewed this change, AEGON adds.

Transamerica is an SEC-registered investment advisor with approximately $15.2 billion in equity and fixed income assets under management for institutional, separate account and mutual fund portfolios. The firm is registered in Ontario as a non-Canadian advisor (investment counsel and portfolio manager).

Transamerica’s investment process emphasizes fundamental research, strong teamwork, and analysis across companies’ capital structures and seeks to identify high-quality companies with the potential to outperform over market cycles, AEGON says.

Since June 2002, Transamerican has also served as the portfolio sub-advisor for imaxx U.S. Equity Growth Fund.
