An update to National Bank of Canada’s ETF Handbook published on Friday lists 725 Canadian ETFs with $160 billion in assets.

South of the border, U.S. ETFs and exchange-traded notes total 2,130 listings with US$3.64 trillion in assets, the report says.

The 60-page report includes ETFs and other exchange-traded products such as notes, grantor trusts, limited partnerships, unit investment trusts, and exchange traded receipts.

Grouped by such factors as strategy or maturity, and sorted by assets under management (AUM), the report lists each ETF’s ticker, price, AUM, volume, management expense ratio, structure, inception date, and other investment information.

Market data for the handbook was sourced during the week of Aug. 6.
