The Mutual Fund Dealers Association has announced that all of people nominated to sit on its regional councils were acclaimed.

The MFDA recently invited its members to nominate eligible candidates for election to its Regional Councils in each of its four regions. In each region, the number of nominees didn’t exceed the number of elected reps that the MFDA’s board for that council.

Each regional council will now appoint a chair and vice chair from among the elected reps. An appointment committee will also be established for each region, including Larry Waite, president and CEO of the MFDA, a public director and the chair of the regional council. The appointments committee for each region will appoint additional industry and public members to the regional council to sit on hearing panels which will preside over MFDA disciplinary proceedings.
