(January 21 – 10:30 ET) – Trimark Investment Management Inc. has launched the Trimark U.S. Money Market Fund. It will provide interest income to clients who wish to hold their short-term assets in U.S. dollars.
The new fund is expected to appeal to clients who spend a significant amount of money in the U.S., or who seek to minimize investment risk through currency diversification. The fund will be managed by Trimark’s fixed-income team, specifically portfolio managers Patrick Farmer and Rex Chong. It will invest in U.S.-denominated short-term government and high quality corporate debt and counts as foreign content.
“The Trimark U.S. Money Market Fund will be particularly useful to retirees and snowbirds who live part of the year in the U.S. or in other foreign countries where U.S. dollars are commonly used,” says Brad Badeau, president of Trimark Investment Management Inc. “Business people who get paid in U.S. dollars or who have significant U.S. expenses will also find this fund convenient as it will protect them from any negative moves in the exchangerate.”
