(May 26 – 10:20 ET) – Industry veteran Philip R. Evans has been appointed executive vice president of Fidelity Investments Canada Limited.
Effective July 17, Evans will join Fidelity Canada’s executive committee. His responsibilities will include investment development, marketing and institutional sales and relationship management.
Evans has nearly 20 years experience in the Canadian investment management industry, most recently with Altamira Management Ltd. His background includes several positions in asset management, sales and asset consulting for Canadian and international financial services organizations. He is also actively involved in a number of charitable and community organizations.
Fidelity president David Denison said, “With his depth of understanding of the investment management business in this country, Phil is a very strong addition to our executive team. We’re delighted to have him on board to help us accelerate our growth.”
