C.I. Fund Management Inc.
today said it signed a letter of
intent to buy a majority stake in
New York-based C.I. Global
Advisors for an undisclosed
amount.
The deal, expected to be
completed by the end of next month,
will lead to creation of C.I.
Global Advisors LLP, a money
management firm led by global
strategist William Sterling and
portfolio manager Stephen Waite.
C.I. Global will provide
advisory service for the
portfolios of several C.I. mutual
funds with a total of $3.8 billion
in assets at Sept. 23.
