(June 5 – 15:55 ET)- C.I. Mutual Funds Inc. has assumed the role of portfolio advisor to C.I. Global Health Sciences Sector Shares and, indirectly, to its clone, C.I. Global Health Sciences RSP Fund. The change is effective today.
The new portfolio manager is Andrew Waight, vice president, portfolio management, C.I. Mutual Funds. Waight is also portfolio manager of the Signature Global Small Companies Fund.
Waight has a B.Sc. in genetics and an M.Sc. in biochemistry, both from the University of Western Ontario. He also holds an MBA from Western, with a specialty in management of information technology, and the chartered financial analyst designation.
Waight’s experience includes managing the BPI Canadian Mid-Cap Fund, assisting in the management of the BPI Canadian Small Companies Fund, and co-managing a small-cap portfolio at Mutual Asset Management Ltd.
Previously, the portfolio advisor was Credit Suisse Asset Management, LLC of New York.
