(June 28 – 14:55 ET) – C.I. Mutual Funds Inc. today announced that it has assumed the role of portfolio advisor to C.I. Global Technology Sector Shares and, indirectly, to its 100% RSP-eligible version, the C.I. Global Technology RSP Fund.

Scott Morrison, vice president, portfolio management of C.I. Mutual Funds, is now managing the portfolio. Previously, the advisor was Credit Suisse Asset Management, LLC of New York. The change was effective June 20.

Morrison is advisor to the Signature American Small Companies Fund. He also manages the U.S. Growth investment pool of the Insight Program, a fee-based investment program offered by C.I.

Morrison began his career in 1994 at Mackenzie Financial Corp. as an investment analyst. He joined C.I. in 1997 to assist in the management of more than $1 billion in assets. He holds a bachelor of commerce degree from Concordia University, and the CFA designation.

Morrison will be assisted by Malcolm White who recently joined C.I. from Merrill Lynch Canada. White’s experience includes four years as a research analyst focusing on high-tech companies, and four years as a systems analyst in the financial services industry. He holds a B.A. from Queen’s University, and the CFA designation.
