(June 30 – 17:25 ET) – AIM Funds Management Inc. is confirming portfolio manager changes in the wake Derek Webb’s resignation.

As expected Houston-based Clas Olsson’s team is taking over most of the assignments. Olsson, along with Jason Holzer and Derek Izuel will manage the AIM Canada Growth class. That team is joining a global equity team of Monika Degan, Dale Griffin, Ben Hock, Jon Schoolar and Barrett Sides on the Global Theme class. Ron Sloan will join Roger Mortimer and Rob Leslie on the Canada Income class. Sloan and Mortimer will handle the Global Natural Resources.

In the U.S., Sloan will take over Global Healthcare and Global Resources classes. The Olsson, Griffin, Sides, Holzer, Degan, Schoolar and Hock will replace Webb and Mortimer on the Global Trends and Global Consumer Products and Services classes. It hasn’t named a replacement on its Dent Demographics Trends portfolios.

Meanwhile the battle over Webb’s resignation continues in the U.S. Federal Court. AIM is suing Webb and his new employer, C.I. Fund Management Inc., over Webb’s defection. Both sides remain under a court imposed gag order.
