AIC Group of Funds are
introducing the new AIC Focused
Series. The first two funds in the
Series are the AIC American
Focused Fund and the AIC RSP
American Focused Fund which will
be offered for sale beginning
November 22, 1999. These new Funds
will buy excellent businesses at
prices that afford the investor a
margin of safety.
The new AIC Focused Series will
follow AIC’s investment principles
with a focus on buying good
businesses below their intrinsic
value in order to achieve a margin
of safety and avoid permanent loss
of investor capital.
Within AIC’s portfolio
management team Larry Sarbit has
been named lead portfolio manager
of the new AIC Focused Series.
He brings more than 20 years
investment management experience
to AIC. Most recently, Sarbit was
Director, Senior Vice-President and
Portfolio Manager with Aderes
Portfolio Management Limited.
Previously, he spent 11 years
managing U.S. equity
funds at Investors Group,
including U.S. Growth, U.S.
Opportunities and the U.S. portion of the
Investors Global Fund. He was also
an equity analyst with Richardson
Greenshields.
