(September 7 – 09:00 ET) – CBRS has assigned a P2 rating to AIC Diversified Canada Split Corp.

The company invests all its assets in the AIC Diversified Canada Fund. CBRS says that the fund’s diversification and investment performance justifies the P2 rating.

However the units’ dividend payments are funded only by the sale of invested assets, which worries CBRS. It notes that an equity market decline it would have to sell units to meet its dividend obligations, which adds risk, compared with typical split share issues.
