RBC Royal Bank today announced a realignment of its national customer and sales management structure, which puts senior leaders in closer contact with clients and employees.

“Last fall we began a major transformation of our organization to help us become a more client focused company,” says Jim Westlake, head of RBC’s Canadian Personal and Business Clients division. “Over the past nine months, we have redirected 300 employees to client facing roles. Now, placing more of our most senior leaders closer to our clients and the employees who serve them will help lead to clearer accountabilities, quicker decision making, less duplication and most importantly, an increased focus on our clients.”

The new structure, which puts two additional senior regional executives in Ontario, and one in western Canada, is comprised of eight regional markets, each led by a regional president with direct in-market responsibility for the delivery of all products and service to personal and business clients.

The regional executives include:

  • Graham MacLachlan,regional president, British Columbia;
  • Bruce MacKenzie, regional president, Alberta and the Territories;
  • Kirk Dudtschak (*), regional president, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and NW Ontario;
  • Jennifer Tory, regional president, Toronto;
  • Laura Gainey, regional president, South Western Ontario;
  • Rod Schaaf, regional president, East and North Ontario;
  • Micheline Martin, regional president, Quebec; and
  • Greg Grice, regional president, Atlantic Provinces.
