RBC Capital Markets today announced that Scott Collins has joined RBC Capital Markets as Director of US Equity Research, effective October 1.

Collins will be responsible for all aspects of US equity research, helping to further build RBC’s cross-border research capabilities.

“Scott brings considerable investment industry experience to his new position and his addition to RBC Capital Market’s already strong research team will enhance our ability to provide clients and shareholders with industry leading research and analysis,” said Steven Garmaise, global head of research, RBC Capital Markets.

Collins has over 20 years of investment industry experience, most recently as director of research at Suntrust Robinson Humphrey. Prior to that, he was at Lehman Brothers as product manager and head of middle market sales.

Collins graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1976.. He received his MBA from Washington University in 1979.

Collins will be based at RBC’s offices at One Liberty Plaza in New York City.
