Perigee Investment Counsel Inc. announced Monday that Joy Flowers has joined the firm as vice president of human resources.

An industry veteran, Flowers has more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry.

“Recruiting and retaining top talent is the key to our business. Joy has the skills and an in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry that will be of great benefit to us,” said Stephen Griggs, president and CEO of Perigee.

Flowers joins Perigee from Manulife Financial, where she was vice president of Human Resources responsible for a number of different divisions, including Investment, Finance and Corporate. Prior to her four years at Manulife, she was HR vice president at Nesbitt Burns.

Flowers holds an MBA and an undergraduate degree in business administration and commerce. She will be located in Perigee’s Toronto head office.
