Dawn Russell has been appointed to the Mutual Fund Dealers Association board of directors as a public director, the MFDA said Tuesday.
Her appointment fills the vacancy created by the death of Robert MacLellan, which occurred back in 2007.
Russell is an associate professor at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in Halifax.
She has served on the Crawford Panel on a Single Securities Regulator, the federal government’s Expert Panel on Securities Regulation in Canada, and is currently a member of the advisory committee that’s working with the transition office that working to create a single regulator.
