The Mutual Fund Dealers Association announced three public and three industry directors at its annual general and special meeting of members held December 9.
George Aguiar, Ed Legzdins and Kevin Regan, each became industry directors for two-year terms until the 2007 annual meeting, or until their respective successors have been appointed.
Ruth Grant, Janet Pau and Robert Wright each became public directors to hold office for three-year terms until the 2008 meeting, or successors have been appointed.
Wright is chairman of the MFDA board and deputy chairman, Teck Cominco Ltd. Grant is chairwoman of The Sick Kids Foundation and vice chairwoman of the Board of Trustees at The Hospital for Sick Children. Pau is a Vancouver-based corporate director.
Aguiar is president and CEO of GP Capital Corp., Legzdins is president and CEO of BMO Investments Inc., and Regan is executive vice president, Investors Group Financial Services inc.
At the meeting, MFDA members agreed that the 2006 annual meeting will take place on December 1, 2006 at a time and location to be announced.
