The presidents and COOs of two Desjardins Group subsidiaries have announced their intentions to leave their respective positions, the Quebec-based financial co-operative said Tuesday.

Germain Carrière of Desjardins Securities and Louis Roquet of Desjardins Venture Capital have decided that now is the time to pass the torch on to the next generation, Desjardins Group said.

Their departures come as Desjardins Group enters the second phase of its new organizational structure, as was announced by Monique Leroux, president and CEO, on May 14.

Desjardins Securities

Sylvain Perreault succeeds Carrière in the position of chief operating and compliance officer at Desjardins Securities. Prior to his appointment, Perreault held the position of senior vice president, chief administration and compliance officer at Desjardins Securities. He has 20 years’ experience in the securities sector.

Desjardins Venture Capital

Marie-Claude Boisvert succeeds Roquet in her appointment to the position of vice president, development capital and business ownership transfers, Desjardins Group. As such, she will also oversee Desjardins Venture Capital operations. Before her appointment, Boisvert held the position of senior vice president, investment and operations office, Desjardins Venture Capital, where she has worked since 1994. She has more than 20 years’ experience in business financing.
