The Canadian Capital Markets Association has hired Jane Davis in the role of executive director.

Davis will oversee the day-to-day operations of the CCMA, and she will also assist the board in setting direction in achieving CCMA objectives, liaise with the regulatory authorities and provide leadership in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships. She starts April 4.

“Ms. Davis will represent the CCMA in all matters affecting its interests and will report directly to the board,” said Gerry O’Mahoney, chairman of the CCMA.

The CCMA’s current priority is to achieve institutional trade-date matching, promoting efficient and timely trade matching among capital market participants. “Jane’s extensive experience communicating at the highest levels will be a significant asset as we lead our industry forward on this very important initiative,” added O’Mahoney.

Davis was most recently head of RBC Investments Global Risk Management and Compliance.
