The Association of Canadian Compliance Professionals (ACCP) elected its officers at its first annual general meeting held on December 19.

The ACCP became a chartered organization on October 3. The group was formerly known as the Compliance Officers’ Forum.

The members of the board are: Sandra Kegie, chairwoman; John Kennedy, vice chairman; and Gerri Hoy, secretary/treasurer.

Kegie is VP, compliance at Fundex Investments Inc. Kennedy is VP, compliance at Altamira Financial Services Ltd. Hoy is a compliance consultant with Phoenix Enterprises.

Hoy says the AACP board will hold its first meeting in the next two weeks to set membership fees.

She says the fees will be set at no more than $150 per person, per year, and will likely be less.

A full membership meeting is expected to take place in March, says Hoy.

Hoy adds that AACP annual forum is already scheduled for May 10, in Toronto.
