On July 4, the Ontario Securities Commission has announced the composition of its Small Business Advisory Committee. The committee will advise the OSC on securities regulatory issues facing small and medium-sized businesses.

The SBAC members will serve two-year terms and will meet four to six times each year. The first meeting of the SBAC is scheduled for November 19.

The confirmed members of the SBAC are:

The SBAC will advise OSC staff on issues arising from the implementation of the recently-revised Exempt Distributions rule and will also serve as a forum for continuing communication between the OSC and small and medium-sized businesses.
