RBC Financial Group is the winner of the Gartner CIO Choice Award. The award is presented annually to a company that best embodies the qualities of an IT best practices leader.

Among RBC’s achievements was its use of business intelligence to better service and sell to customers, excellence in leveraging customer relationship management and business intelligence to reduce fraud, the creation of an online mode for real-time data updates, and the implementation of video-on-demand training for all associates.

The award will be presented today by Gartner’s CIO, Bart Stanco, who led Gartner’s IT team in the selection process. “Over the past year, RBC has been a leader and visionary in its use, implementation, and ability to manage IT while ultimately benefiting its business,” said Stanco. “Its implementation of new and unique technologies is impressive and should serve as a model to the entire industry.”
