Online brokerage Questrade Inc. said Wednesday it will deliver equity research data from Morningstar, Inc. directly into the recently launched Questrade IQ trading platform.

Chicago-based Morningstar, a provider of independent investment research, will provide fundamental equity research including North American market news, equity analyst reports on 1,800 companies, screeners and filters, calendars, gainers/losers, and alerts.

Questrade clients can customize their research centre settings to enhance the experience offered in the IQ trading platforms, IQ Web and IQ Edge. The trading software is available free of charge to all Questrade clients, and includes free live streaming of U.S. market data from The Nasdaq Stock Market. The platforms also include free snap (real-time and on demand) quotes for real-time Canadian equities listed on the TSX and TSX-Venture.

“For several years, we’ve turned to Morningstar to power our mutual fund research centre. The benefit to our clients is clear,” said Edward Kholodenko, president and CEO of Questrade.

“Questrade’s mission is to help Canadians achieve financial independence. This aligns with Morningstar’s mission, which is to create great products that help investors,” said Scott Mackenzie, president and CEO of Morningstar Canada.
