NASDAQ OMX said that it suffered another quote dissemination problem this morning, but that trading was not affected.

In the wake of a prolonged trading outage that it attributed to the Securities Information Processor (SIP) becoming overwhelmed with quote traffic back on Aug. 22, NASDAQ issued a statement this afternoon indicating that the SIP had another problem today between 11.35 and 11.41 a.m.

It says that the SIP experienced a hardware failure, and suffered a brief outage in one of the quote dissemination channels, specifically affecting symbols PC through SPZ. The issue has been resolved and all quotes are currently disseminating normally, it notes, adding, “trading has not been affected.”
