Worldsource Insurance Network Inc. (IDC WIN) has appointed Phil Marsillo president of the firm effective Monday, the Mississauga, Ont.-based managing general agency (MGA) has confirmed.

Previously, Marsillo was senior vice president of Toronto-based Canada Life Assurance Co.’s distribution department, from which he retired in the summer of 2017. He spent 14 years in this position and nearly 25 years with the firm.

Ron Madzia, vice chairman and former president of IDC WIN, is set to retire June 30. Madzia says he will remain on the board and as a consultant with the MGA.

Greg Osmak has also been named executive vice president of sales and marketing and Stephen Lui has been appointed senior vice president of Ontario and Asian markets.
