Toronto-based GMP Capital Inc. (TSX:GMP) said Monday that its subsidiary GMP Securities L.P. will hold a Charity Trading Day on Wednesday, June 26, in support of relief efforts following heavy flooding in Calgary and southern Alberta.

GMP Securities will donate 100% of all agency trading commission dollars from institutional equity trades generated that day to support the Canadian Red Cross Alberta Floods Fund.

“Calgary has been incredibly supportive of our firm and our people since we commenced business almost 20 years ago. We maintain a significant investment banking and wealth management presence in the city and thus know firsthand the impact of the flood on the city and its people,” said Harris Fricker, CEO, GMP. “We are proud to do our part to support the people of this great city.”
