ABEX Central Financial Services Ltd. has joined forces with Kitchener, Ont.-based Financial Horizons Group, the companies have announced.
ABEX is a managing general agent (MGA) operating out of Barrie, Ont. It was founded in 2006.
The ABEX office in Barrie will be retained, as will key members of the ABEX Central team. “On a day-to-day basis, it will be business as usual,” Financial Horizons says in a news release.
“This acquisition is another step in the strategic growth of Financial Horizons Group as the leading MGA and financial services company in Canada,” says John Hamilton, CEO, Financial Horizons, in a statement. “The acquisition of ABEX Central Financial Services Ltd. reinforces our presence in the MGA marketplace in central Ontario.”
