Empire Financial Group announced Tuesday the appointment of its new chief investment officer, Deborah Frame.
“Amid the current economic environment, having the superior leadership and knowledge of Deborah on our team is a competitive advantage,” says Brendan McCormick, Vice-president of Corporate Development for Empire Financial Group.
Leading a team of investment professionals, Frame will oversee Empire’s entire Investment division, directing the management of all segregated funds and general assets of the company, including asset mix and developing the economic outlook and market strategies. She will also work closely with Empire’s Individual Investment Marketing department.
Frame has an extensive background in managing investments and has held investment executive positions at Manulife Financial and Canagex, the wholly owned investment management subsidiary of Les Mouvement Desjardins. Most recently, she was a partner with Morrison Williams, a pension portfolio manager and a sub-advisor to Talvest Funds.
Frame has a Master of Business Administration degree from York University and has also obtained a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
