CDS Clearing and Depository Services Inc. announced that it became an affiliate of the Investment Industry Association of Canada as of January 1, 2008.

As an affiliate, CDS Clearing will provide the IIAC with access to CDS’s insights and expertise on clearing and settlement. It adds that the IIAC’s affiliates program allows organizations within the investment industry to take advantage of the information, influence and member access that affiliation provides.

CDS is the national securities depository, clearing and settlement hub, holding over $3 trillion on deposit and handling over 150 million securities trades annually.
