Eight financial services organizations made the 2011 Canada’s Top 100 Employers list, published Friday.

The eight organizations are:

> ATB Financial;
> Bank of Canada;
> BMO Financial Group;
> Co-operators Life Insurance Company;
> Royal Bank of Canada;
> Saskatchewan Government Insurance;
> TD Bank Financial Group;
> Vancouver City Savings Credit Union.

Now entering its 12th year, the Canada’s Top 100 Employers competition is an editorial project organized by Toronto-based Mediacorp Canada Inc., a specialty publisher of employment guides and periodicals.

The list was compiled following an extensive application process undertaken by employers and a detailed review of their operations and human resources practices.

Each winner is graded by Mediacorp editors on eight key areas: physical workplace; work atmosphere & social; health, financial & family benefits; vacation & time off; employee communications; performance management; training & skills development; and community involvement. These criteria have remained consistent since the project’s inception in 1999.
