The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is seeking applicants for its committee that provides advice to the commission on market structure issues.
The OSC announced Tuesday that it is inviting applications for membership on its Market Structure Advisory Committee (MSAC); which both serves as a forum to discuss market structure issues and provides input to OSC staff developing policy and rules that concern market structure.
The MSAC is comprised of 12 to 15 members, who serve two-year terms. The committee meets at least four times annually, and is currently chaired by an industry representative.
The OSC says that committee members are selected for “their extensive knowledge of the Canadian capital markets and market structure, and strong knowledge of the regulatory requirements in securities legislation in Canada.”
Candidates with industry experience and expertise in market structure issues are invited to submit applications by July 2.
Applications and questions regarding MSAC may be forwarded in writing to: MarketRegulation@osc.gov.on.ca.
