Speakers lined up for Dialogue 2018, the Ontario Securities Commission’s (OSC) annual conference, will address the challenges facing regulators in adapting to rapidly evolving investor expectations and capital markets, the OSC announced Wednesday.

“Rapid innovation is creating new opportunities and unique challenges in capital markets world-wide. This year, OSC Dialogue will highlight how senior market leaders are adapting strategies to change with the times,” says Maureen Jensen, OSC chairwoman and CEO, in a statement.

Along with Jensen, the speakers include: Jay Clayton, the new head of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC); Jeff Carney, president and CEO of IGM Financial Inc.; Jay Clayton, the new head of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC); Robert Cohen, chief, cyber unit, division of enforcement, SEC; Paul Desmarais III, senior vice president, Power Corp. and Power Financial; Bruce Flatt, CEO of Brookfield Asset Management Inc.; Christopher Giancarlo, chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission; Barbara Novick, vice chairman at BlackRock;; Mark Steward, director of enforcement and market oversight, U.K. Financial Conduct Authority; Gillian Tan, executive director, enforcement, Monetary Authority of Singapore; and representatives from the International Monetary Fund , the Global Risk Institute and the C.D. Howe Institute.

OSC Dialogue 2018 takes place Nov. 8, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto. Registration is now open.
