The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) has extended the terms of members of its advisory committee that provides input on the workings of the commission’s administrative tribunal.
The OSC said Monday that the members of its Securities Proceedings Advisory Committee (SPAC) have agreed to extend their terms until 2017.
The SPAC was launched in January 2013 to provide advice on policy and procedural issues affecting the OSC’s tribunal.
The committee’s members have staggered terms of either two or three years. On Monday, the commission said that it now plans to seek applications for the next group of SPAC members in the winter of 2017.
