The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada has issued a report on governance issues for comment.

Earlier this year the MFDA published a bulletin concerning the work of its task force on governance issues, and it received 14 submissions in response. It has also held seven meeting to discuss these issues and the comments that were submitted.

On June 22, the task force tabled its report at a meeting of the MFDA board, and the board unanimously approved publication of the report for a 30-day comment period. Comments are invited by July 30.

The MFDA notes that the task force and the board are expected to meet in mid-August to review the comments received and a final report will be circulated to MFDA members in late-August in advance of a special meeting to be held on October 2.
