The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada has appointed three new industry directors.

The MFDA held its annual general and special meeting of members on November 30.

At the AGM, George Aguiar, president and CEO of Toronto-based GP Wealth Management Corp.; Edgar Legzdins, president and CEO of BMO Investments Inc.; and Kevin Regan, chairman and president of Winnipeg’s Investors Group Financial Services Inc.; each became industry directors.

They will serve two-year terms until the 2009 AGM or until their respective successors have been appointed.

In addition, the members in attendance at the AGM approved the appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP as auditors for the corporation and confirmed the certain by-law amendments.

The 2008 AGM is scheduled for December 4, 2008 at a location to be announced.
