The Mutual Fund Dealers Association has announced the composition of its Policy Advisory Committee.
The PAC consists of eight industry representatives in addition to the four chairs of the MFDA Regional Councils who will serve as ex officio members.
The following individuals have been selected by MFDA president and chief executive officer, Larry Waite, to serve on the PAC:
- Darcy Lake from BMO Investments Inc., will chair the committee;
- Daniella Dimitrov from Dundee Private Investors Inc.;
- Dennis Gregoris of CIBC Securities Inc.;
- Mark Winter from Family Investment Planning Inc.;
- Christopher Marrese of Clarica Investco Inc.;
- Don Keller of Coast Capital Investments;
- David Cheop of Investors Group Financial Services Inc.; and
- Frank Laferriere of Berkshire Investment Group Inc.
The regional council chairs and ex-officio PAC members are:
- Wendi Bacon with Royal Mutual Funds Inc., and chairwoman of the Atlantic Regional Council;
- David Sharpe with PFSL Investments Canada Ltd., and chairman of the Ontario Regional Council;
- Terry Ford from Partners in Planning Financial Services Ltd., and chairman of the Prairie Regional Council; and
- Dawn Daughton with ING Wealth Management Inc., and chairwoman of the Pacific Regional Council.
The PAC will provide advice, comment and report to MFDA staff on a variety of matters including regulatory and policy initiatives and industry trends and practices.
